Modern World History uses the textbook "Perspectives on the Past: World History."

MWH includes the need for a student notebook, a research report of a formal paper and an internet project. The projects are 25% of the quarter grades. Participation in class discussions counts for 10% of the overall grade.

Modern World History, Semester, 11-12. This course is a survey of western civilization beginning with the Renaissance and ending with World War I and its aftermath. Other topics include the Reformation, the Enlightenment, the Age of Revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, and the Napoleonic Wars. This course requires significant student writing and research.
